Rugby
| This year has been another year of excellence on the Rugby field for Pt England School. We fielded 3 teams in the Auckland wide Williments rugby competition. A Girls open weight team, a boys U50kg team and a boys over 50kg team. Our teams played with great spirit to acquit themselves well in all grades. Our Girls team went on to be the runners up in all of Auckland losing a tough final against our longtime rival Viscount School. Our boys U50kg made every post a winner taking out the Auckland championship without one single loss all season. Again our final was against Viscount who gave as good as they got throughout the first half only to see Pt England assert themselves in the second half to take the title. Our over 50kg team were unable to repeat their championship success of 2007 going down in a tight semi final to the eventual winners of the competition. |
Congratulations to our teams on a great season. Many thanks to our parents and supporters who filled the sidelines for our home games, we appreciate your cheering and support. |
